The Personal injury department has been one of the core departments of Rowe Cohen since the firm was founded in 1990.
We have a broad range of expertise in advising victims of road traffic accidents, accidents at work or in the street or home.
We act for individuals, many who have been referred to us by word of mouth, as well as receiving instructions by virtue of our appointment as panel solicitors for institutional clients such as insurance brokers, companies and legal expense insurers.
Over the last five years we have followed a structured development plan to achieve the right balance between the use of cutting edge IT, and the correct level of expertise of the lawyers handling cases. We are proud of the fact that our teams now use the best case management software on the market, and are all closely supported and supervised by Partners with enormous experience in the field of personal injury.
So far as the IT is concerned, Rowe Cohen have developed a case management system for Claimant personal injury cases which ensures that all cases are dealt with speedily (where appropriate) and in a uniform and correct manner, including automatic diary entries to ensure that cases progress as they should. It has been carefully tailored to suit the requirement of both bulk sources and individual clients, for example in terms of reporting and providing updates. It will also allow clients and sources alike to have access to their files online, so that they can see how their cases are progressing, should they wish so to do.
However, the case management system only assists up to a point - it is essential that cases are dealt with by a lawyer of the correct standing in terms of experience and expertise for the case they are handling, so that all our clients are given the service and advice that he or she has the right to expect.
In addition, we ensure that our lawyers are not overloaded with too many cases at any one time, so that they are able to give each case the time and attention it deserves. Many of our competitors are surprised at the modest caseloads handled by our staff, and whilst this goes against the traditional theory of maximising fees we feel that it enables us to maintain the high levels of service we are determined to provide.
